When they were released in 2020 with the New Edition, the Imperial Nobility team was a bit of a surprise. They functioned as replacement for the Bretonnian team which have since received a team in the latest box. In all honestly, I've never been that drawn to this team, but I do have a colour scheme (red, yellow and black) in mind that I think would work really well with the models.
Red sprue- ones shown are plastic because they are from the 2020 Blood Bowl Second Season Edition.
The Imperial Nobility models lean quite heavily into the empire aesthetic with features like the 'landsknecht' puffy breeches and sleeve details. This fits nicely with the lore that this team are made up of the rich elite that care more for style than practicality and makes this team a good option for those who want to coach a human team but find the normal human team too sporty. The 'wealthy gentry' character archetype used to belong to the High Elves in the lore which is why the Elven Union split off to focus more on the sport than the politics. It will be interesting to see what Games workshop does with High Elves in the upcoming release as we don't really need two teams of pompous prats.
Other side. The sprues are the same as the one you get today if you were to buy the team box, but they would be grey.
The starter box came with both an ogre and Griff Oberwald star player. This is the first starter box to come with star players (and big guys).
Both big guy and star player models come in plastic which is much appreciated as I prefer it over resin. Metal has a certain charm but is harder to work with and paint can chip very easily when applied to metal.

The instructions tell you to glue the face (#3) to the torso, then glue the helmet pieces (#4 and #5) together and put it over the face. THIS DOES NOT WORK. It is recommended to glue the face into one helmet piece first, then add the second helmet piece. Once this is done you can attach the full head to the torso.
