I'll keep working through the team boxes. After this post I only have 5 left to catch up with Games Workshop's release schedule. Today we'll be looking at the Nurgle's Rotters team which was released along side Spike! Journal issue 03 in September 2018.
It isn't my favourite team as the whole concept and aesthetic of Nurgle has never appealed to me.
Back of the Box. I must say I do like the playfulness of Nurgle though, The Beasts of Nurgle for example, being portrayed like large puppies that just want to play with everyone and not understanding why their playmates fall to pieces. The Nurglings are fun and mischievous and somehow the idea of spreading rot is even conveyed in a wholesome and caring way, seeing the myriad of life and growth that comes with decay.
Compared to some other teams, the Rotters are obviously playing sport, their uniforms clearly and easily recognisable. I have seen some great colour schemes used in the community and this that since the models aren't overburdened by detail, the colours can speak for themselves.
Other side of the sprues. As I'm not a super fan I might try to do some conversions using parts from the 2014 Putrid Blightkings to spice things up a bit. I bought them before the Nurgle team had come out to use as a base for my converted team.

Once I've covered the remaining five team boxes I'll try to make a better index page, referring to the different teams. My hope is that you can use it as a reference when looking for conversion bits, assembly instructions, decal motives etc.
